De formation initiale en contentieux commercial et en droit de la faillite (comme collaborateur d’un ancien agréé auprès du Tribunal de Commerce de Paris), son expérience aux Etats-Unis l’a orienté vers le droit des affaires et les fusions-acquisitions dont il va faire bénéficier le Cabinet Bernard-Hertz-Béjot en renforçant ses équipes dans ce domaine, tout en conservant une pratique en contentieux commercial et en droit de la faillite.
Stéphane Cournot has joined Bernard-Hertz-Béjot after 30 years of law practice in his own law firm. Stéphane Cournot who is an attorney admitted to the Paris Bar and the Washington DC Bar (USA) was one of the very first French lawyers to obtain dual bar admission in France and the United States.
Initially trained in commercial litigation and insolvency law (as an associate with a former “ancien agréé au Tribunal de Commerce” a lawyer admitted to appear in a Commercial Court), the experience he gained in the United States inspired his decision to turn his career towards corporate law and mergers & acquisitions, a career choice which will today be of benefit to Bernard-Hertz-Béjot as Stéphane Cournot will consolidate their teams in this practice area, while at the same time continuing his commercial litigation practice and his insolvency law practice.”

Pierre Détrie
Maître Pierre Détrie qui bénéficie de la double appartenance au barreau de Paris et au barreau de New York s’est rapidement orienté vers le droit des sociétés et les fusions-acquisitions.
Après avoir fait ses classes dans les cabinets Carreras, Barsikian, Robertson & Associés et Courtois Lebel il a rejoint le Cabinet Cournot Avocats, et  suit maintenant Stéphane Cournot dans le Cabinet Bernard-Hertz-Béjot.
Pierre Détrie who also benefits from dual bar admission in Paris and New York was quick to turn his career towards corporate law and mergers & acquisitions.
After having gained his early experience in the Paris law firms of Carreras, Barsikian, Robertson & Associés and Courtois Lebel, he joined Cournot Avocats as an associate, and today joins Bernard-Hertz-Béjot alongside Stéphane Cournot.
