ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization)

Online registration with the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) is mandatory for travel under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). It is not required for travelers with valid U.S. visas.

Biometric Passports Required

Passengers may not travel under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) unless their passports meet specific biometric standards. Approval by ESTA presupposes the passenger has a qualified passport.
