Pierre Appremont joined the Tax Law practice of the Paris office in 2016.
Pierre is a tax specialist helping clients make strategic choices, assess the feasibility of their projects, and implement the technical and legal taxation structures required to achieve their objectives.
Focusing on real estate taxation, corporate taxation, tax litigation and private management, Pierre helps companies, company officers, and fund and asset managers, both in France and abroad, with every stage of their projects, from the structuring of the operation to its realization, including tax management and post-merger integration.
Pierre advises on tax issues for French and overseas clients specifically in corporate tax and real estate tax. He helps financial officers and accountants with high-level tax issues and managing tax audit procedures, and assists high-net-worth individuals with their personal tax planning.
Pierre has particular experience in tax structuring of regulated and unregulated investment vehicles and financial modeling of the tax aspects, working closely with colleagues across the firm.
Pierre also helps French and overseas clients with the tax aspects of buying and owning properties in France. This includes controlling the overall tax charge (both in the structuring and implementation of their projects); the organization, disposal and transfer of family businesses and private assets; and advising on national and international optimization of assets and incomes.
He intervened on the €1 billion sale of Financière Selec, in conjunction with his corporate and financing teams. This deal was the largest private equity deal in France in 2013, with Pierre’s team advising LBO France Gestion and RREEF (the private equity fund of Deutsche Bank) on the tax and corporate structuring of the deal.
