Stavros Lambrinidis, the EU Ambassador to the United States, moderated by John Rufus Gifford, Former Deputy Campaign Manager, BIDEN2020, Former United States Ambassador to Denmark, about the outlook for transatlantic relations under the Biden-Harris Presidency. The Ambassador will outline the recent Joint Communication on a new EU-US agenda for global change, issued by President von der Leyen and HR/VP Borrell on December 2, 2020.
We will explore the EU’s moves to engage the incoming Administration on a number of fronts – to ensure recovery from COVID-19, resolve trade tensions, boost cooperation on climate, and work together to reform and reinforce multilateral organizations including the WTO and WHO.

Stavros Lambrinidis (Greek: Σταύρος Λαμπρινίδης; born 6 February 1962) is a Greek lawyer and politician who has served as the Ambassador of the European Union to the United States since March 2019.[1] He previously served as the European Union Special Representative for Human Rights from 2012 to 2019 and Minister for Foreign Affairs from June 2011 to November 2011.
